Intelligent Traffic Management System

We present the “Intelligent Traffic Management System”, an SMI initiative that seeks to optimize traffic flow in urban areas using advanced technologies and real-time data analysis.

Traffic congestion is one of the major challenges of modern cities, affecting mobility, the economy, and quality of life. Our system integrates IoT sensors, surveillance cameras, and the FIWARE platform to continuously collect and process traffic information.

With this data, the system automatically adjusts traffic signals, offers alternative routes to drivers, and provides real-time traffic condition updates. Additionally, it assists in urban planning by identifying critical points and guiding improvements in road infrastructure.

By promoting more efficient urban mobility, the “Intelligent Traffic Management System” contributes to reducing pollutant emissions, saving time, and creating a healthier urban environment. This project reinforces SMI’s commitment to solutions that positively impact city life.
